Mātaki Marangai rangatahi kaimahi job description

We are looking for six rangatahi kaimahi to take up paid leadership roles within the project. More details about the roles are below. The six rangatahi chosen will be paid $20/hour, and will be expected to work 80 hours over the school year (between February and December), which is roughly 2 hours a week.

Roles and responsibilities

If chosen for this role, your involvement in the Mātaki Marangai project would be as followed:

• Helping your teacher with the automatic weather station placed at your kura

• Ensuring other students are submitting rainfall readings every day

• Attending monthly zoom calls with the project team to discuss trends in the data that has been collected

• Helping the project team with writing up scientific findings from the data
